We can hardly think of a more beautiful enamel dial then the North America map rendered so artfully on this Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller.
The red gold case and markers compliment the warm toned topography of the fired glass that makes colors that seem to glow under daylight! The Traveller complication means that you will always have the correct time world wide while not forgetting the equivalent back home, display cleanly without unnecessary clutter on the dial. The cleanly designed hour window set opposite the trapezoidal date window, both beveled and balanced.
With Laurent Ferrier watches the devil is always in the details as inside the perfectly proportioned case sits a well decorated movement with it’s famous pawl fitted micro-rotor. It is with the oscillations of this tiny rotor that the machine is automatically powered for up to 80 hours between winds. The quality of the Cotés de Geneve of Ferrier have been compared to Philip Dufour, the master himself, and with good reason from where we are standing. At the same time, Mr. Ferrier is a serious watch maker and has his watches certified by the Besançon Observatory for extreme correctness in six positions.
The markers are the traditional Ferrier pointed and stretched cone that I would unabashedly call the sexiest in the business. and the aggressive gold spear hands contrast with the lovely soft enamel behind them, just enough to warm the cool blue seas.
This watch is complete with box and papers and shows no notable wear.
