It’s well known that Patek Philippe has a long history of dominance in the category of perpetual calendar watches, and within Patek’s collection of perpetual calendar watches, the 5159 has a lot that makes it one of our favorites. The watch has an classical look, with features like straight lugs, a grained opaline dial, and even a vintage font. Probably the most distinctive feature of the watch is the strikingly handsome flyback date display. This is wrapped up in a tidy 38mm package, with a nice hinged cover on the back which you can open to see the display back. Not to mention, when you’re not wearing the watch, you can place it inside the beautiful winding display box that it comes with.
In addition to this being a watch model we really like, there’s the added desirability of this particular watch coming with the most complete Patek set we’ve ever seen. Here’s what it comes with:
Wooden presentation box (which is beautiful plus it’s a winding box)
Cloth wrap for the wooden presentation box
Cardboard outer box
“Plain” cardboard outer box that rarely comes with the watch
Plastic sleeve for the watch
Yellow and brown cardboard sleeves
Hang tag
Push pin
Certificate
Manual
Patek museum brochure
“The Collector’s Library” pamphlet
Leather wallet
Outer paper envelope for the leather wallet
The watch is in superior condition. It even has the clear sticker still on the case back!
